Hige yawned and sat, watching the girl from afar. He smiled as she looked his way. He slipped off into an alley and turned around to face her, she had followed him. He smiled again and said, "Hello, names Hige. And you are?" He leaned against the wall and put his hands in the pocket of his yellow hoodie. His collar hung loosely from his neck as he watched her, waiting...

she walked around the corner and lent on the wall, her red scarf blowing slighly in the breeze, she pushed a stray black hair from her face, she nodded to Hige "i'm Blue" she said with a smile, she could tell at a glance that he too was a wolf, she folded her arms across her chest

Hige smiled and nodded then said, "So what brings you here?" He leaned against the wall and smiled. He always thought of himself as irresistible to girls, but who knows if this was true. He looked over at her, wondering if possibly she was like him, a wolf. Any wolf could tell he was one because of the large collar that hung from his neck.

she looked up the wall and then back to Hige "oh not that much, mostly curiosity" she said with a smile, he was cute, but she wasnt interesting in boys at the present time, she looked at him, studying his facial features, he seemed to be trying to work out whether she was a wolf, surely he knew, all wolves knew when another was present, she just stood there with her arms folded

Finally it hit Hige. She was the wolf who had been with that hunter... what was his name? Quent? Then he said, "You were the wolf who ran with Quent! That wolf killer. I thought you looked familiar." Though he was in human form he still had his wolf qualities. So then he started to growl at her. Instead of rushing into things he asked, "Finally figured out you are a wolf have you?"

she rolled her eyes at him "Quent is history, i dont live like that anymore" she said to him, and what was this question about her figuring out she was a wolf, of course she knew, she had done for a long time now, "i see it took you long enough to see who i really am" she said ignoring his growling

Hige looked around, and seeing no one he changed into his wolf form. His growl was stronger now and he said, "Well ok, but why did you ever run with him in the first place? How did you not know you were a wolf! You killed some of your own kind! And you almost killed my buddy Kiba, you and Quent." I continued my growling and stood in an attacking position.

she too changed into her wolf form, "sometimes life is a blur, you blink and you miss it, and sometimes you dont know things until you learn the hard way" she growled back at him, why was he acting like this, oh yeah, because he didnt know her and he didnt know all of her past, and plus that whole killing thing was long in the past, as was Quent

Hige nodded and said, "Well ok, I guess I should give you a chance... I mean if you say your not with Quent anymore... I believe you." He sat down and watched her, then said, "Maybe if you have nowhere else to go you could... Join my pack?" But then he wondered if Kiba would accept a wolf who almost killed him into the pack. Hige looked up and had to admit, she was beautiful. Even if he wanted to he couldn't fight her. He sat and waited for her answer, all anger gone. His tail wagged a bit as he looked at her and he just wanted to tell her how beautiful she was. But even if he did, of course she would never like him. Hige wondered if anything ever would happen between them. Of course they just met so why was he thinking about this? It was too soon to be thinking about this, so he just shook it away.

she sat down, her bluey black pelt looked jet black in the shadows of the ally, her silver spiked collar now was nothing more than something to connect her to her past, yet she would never take it off, "thanks for the offer, but 1) how would Kiba feel? and 2) i walk alone" she said to him, although it was more like running alone rather than walking

Hige stopped wagging his tail and replied, "Kiba's a reasonable guy... I mean I just thought.. well ok I guess you don't have to." He didn't know why he felt so disappointed that she wouldn't come. He sighed and clawed the ground.

"i would only cause the pack trouble" she said to him, and then she heard something, faint to start with but it got louder, it was the sound of footsteps, Blue peered out of the ally and saw a tall serious looking man running towards them, she froze, "oh not you again" she sighed to herself, this guy seemed to still be after her "looks like i will just have to out smart you again" she said to herself, she turned and faced Hige, she smiled "sorry, i gotta run" she said and before he had time to answer she was running down the ally

Hige heard the footsteps too and guessed that was why she was running. He would not let her go so easily though. So he took off and ran after her with great speed. His paws pounded the ground and he did not even look to see who was coming back when she ran. He was too determined to keep up with her to care. Though it might have been Quent searching for her, he guessed. In his thoughts he noticed he was slowing down, so he picked up speed and ran not far behind her. He wanted to look back to see if anyone was following, but he didn't want to lose track of Blue.

she looked back and saw Hige following her, she rolled her eyes, she looked back to the ally entrance the man had just rounded the corner and was now running down the ally, "BLUE!" he shouted, she was begining to think that this man, one of the men that Quent had hired to kill her, enjoyed being out smart by a younger girl, she smiled and hit the breaks, she came skidding to a halt, she turned around and watched the man get closer

Hige saw her stop and so at that moment he stopped and ran behind her. He didn't do this because he was scared, but because he wanted to let Blue handle her problem. He figured she might get angry if he interfered. He watched as the man got closer, and he made no move to run. As the man got closer and closer he finally went and sat behind Blue, looking at her. Even if she didn't join the pack, he didn't want to leave her side. I'll stay with you... Forever, he thought.
